The Parker Financial – Financial Literacy Scholarship is the first award offered by the Charles County Scholarship Fund, Inc.’s scholarship program with the specific purpose of rewarding local students who demonstrate a commitment to advancing their financial literacy. Young adults need financial literacy to develop good personal finance skills to make informed decision and achieve financial success. “When students are engaged early on in learning; particularly about earning an income, budgeting, savings and investing, charitable giving, and mananging debt — they gain powerful skills to shape their own lives and make a difference in their local community,” says Christine Parker, CFP®
